"Best", the word itself is debatable and when you have a bunch of buffy bodybuilders (most of whom don't know that your thinking capacity is a function of nerves and not muscle), then this debate is bound to become a lot more heated. The object of attention this time is bodybuilding supplement. So have your say and go ahead - "Which is the best bodybuilding supplement?".
The difference in opinion can be attributed to the different workout and different goals that bodybuilders have. You need to choose supplements as per your goal and attributes. There are some supplements that are in common but not all. The most commonly used bodybuilding supplements are Creatine, Andro & Nor Andro. Most of the bodybuilders have used them at some stage and they are easily available.
Mark it out that not all bodybuilding supplements are good. Don't jump on advertisements and don't start using any new supplement without proper feedback on it. E..g consider the case of Ephedra and Ephedrine that were later declared as illegal products and considered dangerous for health. Some of these supplements can act like drugs or steroids.
Coming back to our debate of best bodybuilding supplement. Well the most common and accepted supplement is essentially Protein. Remember protein may or may not be termed as a supplement depending on whom you are asking. However, no one can deny the role it plays and its importance when it comes to muscle building.
The logic is simple. For muscle to grow, protein is the food. When you do weight training you essentially tear of your weaker muscle tissue. Substantial intake of protein will help you develop stronger better muscle. When you exercise the protein present in your body is used to develop better muscle tissue that can take up more stress. Also, if you do an insane amount of cardio (either extremely high intensity or low intensity for an extended period of time) the body will burn all its carb stores and then start burning muscle. When your body depletes its carbs it will not burn fat exclusively, it will also burn muscle. The protein intake in the form of a body building supplement will help replace any burned muscle.
You can find protein in your regular diet in chicken and meat. The problem however is that meat is loaded with fat. A protein shake is much easier option and so is a protein bar.
Take note that some protein shakes come loaded with a lot of irresitable flavours like "Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough" - avoid them. The reason being most of them are an overdose of sugar which is bad for you. Stick to plain ones or simple flavours like banana or vanilla. Don't get tempted and maximize the benefit of protein.
